Tower Heroes Tower Tier List (October 2026)
This Tower Heroes tower tier list ranks 30 towers for September 2026, with Spectre, Yasuke, Discount Dog and Hotdog Frank on top and the free starter Chef closer to the meta than most players think.
We compared three rankings, the newest one built on measured level 5 DPS from August 2026, and kept the placements they share. When the DPS list and the two older opinion lists split on a tower, we say so in the note rather than hiding the disagreement.
Placement limits matter as much as damage here: a tower you can only place once, like Spectre, earns its tier by multiplying everything around it, while a cheap tower you can stack twelve times earns it by volume.

Wafer How we rank
We rank on max level damage per second, cost to reach that level, placement limit, and how much the tower helps the rest of the board through buffs, discounts, stuns or economy. S towers go into almost every winning loadout, A towers carry a specific phase of the game, B towers are solid fillers that lose to the meta options, C towers need a niche map or a synergy to be worth a slot, and D towers were rated at the bottom by every source we read. Event and seasonal towers are ranked on power only, not on how hard they are to get.
Tier by tier
S Tier, the meta
- Spectre: Level 5 aura doubles the damage of every tower in range
- Yasuke: Highest single tower DPS with dragon flame burst
- Discount Dog: 40 percent cheaper upgrades in range, best support in the game
- Hotdog Frank: Huge range, cheap upgrades, area damage from level 2
A Tier, excellent
- Chef: Free starter, top base DPS, older lists still call it B
- Buzzer: Reworked summoner with the highest DPS ceiling, pricey to max
- Voca: Big splash radius and range for a ranged hero
- Keith: Cheapest tower to max, consistent damage, short range
- Beebo: Highest ranged DPS, needs range support to shine
- Balloon Pal: Boosts range and fire rate for nearby allies
- Lure: Early game carry with stun immunity, still buyable
- Slime King: Strong summoner, expensive at level 1
- Volt: Chain lightning hits up to 15 clustered enemies
- Fracture: High damage and hidden detection, weak crowd control
- Soda Pop: Steady ranged output, short range until upgraded
B Tier, solid
- Branch: Great splash at level 5, weak early, sources split S to C
- Scientist: 135 DPS burst but costly upgrades and a low limit
- Wizard: Highest placement limit, every ability drinks mana
- Stella: Painted summons and slows, demands micromanagement
- Mako: Anti leak charge, strong early then falls off
- Byte: Five second full paralyze, best with Balloon Pal
- Sparks Kilowatt: Early game edge that shrinks every wave
- Lemonade Cat: Pure economy, 1400 mana per wave, capped placement
- Nuki Launcher: 130 DPS through summon synergy, one list rates it D
- Kart Kid: Cheapest summoner, seven seconds of cart invincibility
C Tier, situational
- Bunny: Around 100 DPS, ranged only after upgrades, event gated
- El Goblino: Ten second stun on a long cooldown
- Dumpster Child: Stacking burns, expensive top levels
- Oddport: Very tanky free squad that counts as one summon
D Tier, skip
- Quinn: Long range slow, but slow firing and a big footprint
- Maitake: Healing and un stun only matter on stun heavy maps
- Wafer: Christmas tower with subpar DPS for its final cost

Tower Heroes tier list FAQ
What is the best tower in Tower Heroes?
Spectre. Its level 5 aura gives every tower in range a flat 100 percent damage buff, so it multiplies your whole board instead of adding one more damage source. Pair it with Discount Dog to afford the upgrades faster.
Is Chef actually good or just free?
Both. The August 2026 DPS measurements put Chef at the top for raw damage at level 5, and you can place twelve of them. Older tier lists rate it B because it only hits single targets, which is why we settled on A.
Which towers should a new player unlock first?
Build around Chef and Lure early, then save for Discount Dog and Spectre. Keith is the cheapest tower to max, so it is a good bridge while you farm the others.
Why do Tower Heroes tier lists disagree so much?
The game gets frequent reworks, Buzzer being the latest, and some lists judge by measured DPS while others judge by feel on specific maps. We lean on the newest measured data and flag the splits in the notes so you can weigh them yourself.
