This Anime Last Stand unit tier list covers the meta as of Update 84 and the Bleach Soul Society update, which dropped 21 new units on the roster at once.

We cross-checked three recent rankings and kept the units they actually agree on, so you know which banners deserve your gems and which evolutions can wait.

How we rank

We rank units on damage output across story, raids and infinite mode, plus how much a unit changes a team through buffs, stalls or crowd control. Placement cost and how hard a unit is to obtain matter less than raw performance here, so some S tier picks are grindy pulls. Where our sources disagreed, we went with the majority view from the two most recent Update 84 rankings.

  • Itadoki (Shrine): Shrine domain melts bosses with huge single target burst
  • Angelist (Deity): Elite support with team-wide buffs and real damage
  • Ulmiorra (Tercera): Single target DPS specialist, a raid staple
  • Devil & Spirit (Union Dive): Fusion unit with devastating burst damage
  • Maka & Cursed Child (Final): DPS plus support duo with near-infinite stall
  • Pure-Blooded & Reincarnated Devil (In Love): Buffer duo granting big damage and cooldown boosts
  • Shimon (Supreme Commander): Top tier support that fits every mode

  • Brutal Berserker SSJ4 Braly: Top raid DPS since the Update 84 reworks
  • Hero Hunter (Cosmic): High burst that shines in tougher content

B Tier, solid

  • Strongest Sorcerer (Unsealed): Still reliable AoE, no longer meta
  • Pride (The One): Good damage, outclassed by newer units
  • Shadow Sorcerer (Focused): Decent DPS for mid-game teams
  • Ichiko (Moonless Sky): Solid burst but needs heavy investment
  • Best Waifu: Useful support that falls off late
  • Surgeon of Death: Fine mid-game carry option

C Tier, situational

  • Vagata (Super): Only worth using early on
  • Butterfly Breather: Niche poison utility, little else
  • Grimjaw: Cheap filler damage at best
  • Uriu: Outperformed by most A tier picks

D Tier, skip

  • Wind Pillar: Weak numbers, better options everywhere
  • Zuffy: Starter unit, replace it quickly

Some of them. The July 2026 update added 21 units, and the standouts like Ulmiorra (Tercera) slot straight into raid teams. Most of the batch lands in the middle tiers though, so check the list before spending your gems.
