Anime Rangers X Unit Tier List (September 2026)
Last checked August 28, 2026
This Anime Rangers X unit tier list ranks the units actually worth your gems and trait rerolls, now that the game runs under its Re:Rangers X name.
We compared three recent published rankings and kept the majority view, weighting the newest one from early August most heavily.
The meta right now favors squads of three or four supports, a rusher and one or two hard carries, so a unit's tier reflects how well it fills one of those jobs.

Thunder God How we rank
We ranked units on damage output, area coverage and how well they hold up in late game content, then cross checked placements against three recent published tier lists and kept the consensus wherever they disagreed. Evolutions are ranked in their evolved form since that is how you will actually field them. Traits can move a borderline unit half a tier, so treat close calls as flexible rather than gospel.
Tier by tier
S Tier, the meta
- Crimson Owl: Elite DPS, near the top of every recent ranking
- Fingernail Saint (Fourth Form): Fourth Form burst deletes bosses outright
- Shadow Knight: Newer damage dealer that scales deep into endgame
- Funny President (Heart Wagon): Meta staple in both rankings we trust most
- Fire Fist: Massive flame damage with excellent uptime
- Cursed Love: Powerful AoE that keeps its late game value
A Tier, excellent
- Eclipse Sorcerer: Strong AoE magic, cheap for what it delivers
- Solar Fist: Great DPS plus a handy cooldown reduction
- Igris: Reliable damage with wide lane coverage
- Demon Slayer (Sun Breathing): Sun Breathing hits well above its cost
- Oldfang Reaver: Former number one, still an excellent carry
- Legendary Saiyan (Super): Super form stays a dependable main DPS
- Umbrella Fang: Solid ranged damage with good uptime
- Vampire Emperor (Vampire): Vampire evolution sustains while it shreds
B Tier, solid
- Knight King (Chaos): Chaos form is honest mid game damage
- Limitless Sorcerer (Infinite): Infinite still clears story content comfortably
- King of Shadows (Monarch): Monarch summons carry early, fade late
- Green Tornado: Budget AoE that carries early portals
- King Ant: Decent damage, easily replaced later on
- Thunder Sword: Fast attacks, average scaling past mid game
- Eternal Avenger (Cursed): Cursed form is serviceable, never special
C Tier, situational
- One Arm Pirate: Fine until your first good pull
- Cursed Fist: Outclassed by newer damage options
- Leaf Ninja (Sage): Sage mode peaked several patches ago
- Otaku (Speed): Cheap rusher, niche outside speed clears
D Tier, skip
- Hawk Swordsman: Early game filler, replace him fast
- Doctor Pirate: Weak stats and no real niche left
- Light Admiral: Low damage for what he costs
- Thunder God: Season one unit the meta left behind

Anime Rangers X tier list FAQ
What is the best unit in Anime Rangers X right now?
Crimson Owl and Fingernail Saint in its Fourth Form sit at the very top of the current meta. Both appear in the highest tier of every recent ranking we checked, and either one can anchor your damage slots in late game content.
Is Anime Rangers X the same game as Re:Rangers X?
Yes. The game was rebranded to Re:Rangers X in 2026, but the community and most guides still call it Anime Rangers X. Same units, same codes, same tier list.
What team composition works best?
The current meta favors three or four support units, one rusher for early waves, and one or two dedicated DPS carries. A single S tier carry backed by good supports beats a team of five mid tier damage dealers.
How often does the meta change?
Every major update adds new units and usually shifts the top of the list. We rebuild this ranking from fresh sources rather than nudging old placements, so the date at the top tells you exactly which patch window it reflects.
