This Jujutsu Shenanigans character tier list ranks 22 playable styles for September 2026, after the V1.82 update that released Disaster Plants to everyone, with Ten Shadows, Perfection and Vessel at the top.

We compared five rankings and they disagree more than in any other game we cover, so the tiers below follow the majority view and the notes say where the most recent sources split.

Skill matters more than rarity here: a good Salaryman beats a bad Ten Shadows every time, and the game has no gacha, so treat the list as a guide to what to learn next.

How we rank

We ranked characters on public server and Duels PvP: neutral tools, combo damage, survivability and how much a domain or awakening swings a fight. Where the five sources disagreed we kept the placement that most of them share and leaned on the two most recent ones, from September 2026, when it was a tie. Overpowered-mode exclusives are left out, and Mahoraga is listed only because one source ranks it and you can reach it through Ten Shadows.

S Tier, the meta

  • Ten Shadows: Highest ceiling in the game, summons plus Mahoraga adaptation
  • Perfection: Aggressive, easy, domain instakills, one source rates it C
  • Vessel: Hardest to master, Cleave and Malevolent Shrine end fights
  • Honored One: Safest top pick to learn, Infinite Void freezes for 14 seconds
  • Restless Gambler: Jackpot regeneration is near immortality for 100 seconds
  • Cursed Partners: Longest domain in the game, Copy makes it the most versatile kit

A Tier, excellent

  • Blood Manipulator: Best zoning kit, Supernova counter resets on hit, no domain
  • Puppet Master: Safe-on-block pressure, awakening scales with banked energy
  • Defense Attorney: Lowest HP but Death Penalty turns any cut into a kill
  • Head of the Hei: Fastest character, Vengeance heals 90 HP, A in every source
  • Black Death: Clone copies your moves, parasite burst after the retune
  • True Cannon: Granite Blast is top neutral, 90 second awakening
  • Disaster Plants: Just went public in V1.82, real domain, only one source ranks it
  • Aspiring Mangaka: Base-only counter specialist, rewards perfect blocks
  • Lucky Coward: Two sources say S, Miracles dodge and counter unpredictably

B Tier, solid

  • Crow Charmer: Low recovery moves, safe on block, no full awakening
  • Star Rage: Ranged pressure and a one-shot awakening move, base-only kit
  • Salaryman: Best character to learn fundamentals, no domain or burst
  • Register: Early Access, receipt cycle got a new awakening in V1.82

Who is the best character in Jujutsu Shenanigans?

Ten Shadows has the highest ceiling, Perfection is the strongest easy pick, and Vessel is the scariest in expert hands. If you want the safest route to wins, learn Honored One first and move to Ten Shadows later.

Why do tier lists for this game disagree so much?

Because it is a fighting game with domains that can end a round in seconds, so a ranking depends on whether the author values neutral, combo damage or awakening power. One September 2026 list puts Perfection in C tier while another puts it in S+. We followed the majority and noted the outliers.

Do I need Early Access to play the best characters?

No. Every S tier character on this list is free and complete. Early Access only gives you unfinished characters like Register and Sky Assassin a few updates before everyone else.

Is Disaster Plants worth learning now that it is public?

Yes if you like a domain-based playstyle: the V1.82 release gave it a full awakening and a real domain, and the one source that has ranked it since puts it in its top tier. Expect its placement to move once more rankings catch up.
