Pokemon Unite Pokemon Tier List (September 2026)

Last checked September 2, 2026

This Pokemon Unite pokemon tier list ranks the 30 picks that decide ranked matches after the Aeos Summer Rush patch. Solgaleo, Yveltal and Reshiram are the ones people are banning or racing to lock in right now.

We cross-checked the two most recently updated rankings, dated August 25 and August 31, and kept only Pokemon where they broadly agree. When they split, the newer read wins.

The standard ranked ladder is the frame here. A few picks like Blissey or Snorlax look modest in solo queue and carry a coordinated five stack, so read the notes before writing one off.

How we rank

We rank by how much a Pokemon swings a standard ranked match on its own: damage or utility at level 5 to 9, how early the Unite Move comes online, and how hard it is to punish. The three 2026 legendaries sit in S because their raw numbers outclass the roster, not because they are new. Anything in C or D can still win games in the right hands, it just asks more of the player than the alternatives. We do not count skins, boosts or held item budgets.

Tier by tier

S Tier, the meta

  • Solgaleo: Unite Move at level 7, immune to Attack drops
  • Yveltal: Long range burst that deletes squishies from safety
  • Reshiram: Special Attack crits above every other damage dealer
  • Moltres: Sustained fire damage and lane control, hard to chase off
  • Zapdos: Huge poke damage from afar, weak once caught

A Tier, excellent

  • Blissey: Best hard support, heals, shields and purges status
  • Leafeon: Fast dives, resets and clean backline assassinations
  • Umbreon: Tanky disruptor that shuts down carries in teamfights
  • Snorlax: Still the safest frontline, Block wins objective fights
  • Lapras: Zoning defender with strong area control and shields
  • Feraligatr: New all rounder, brutal sustained brawling
  • Typhlosion: High damage attacker that scales well into late game
  • Alcremie: Support with surprising damage and constant healing
  • Ceruledge: Mobile all rounder, great pick offs and resets
  • Zacian: Aeos energy scaling still makes it a late game menace

B Tier, solid

  • Vaporeon: Self sustaining attacker, comfortable in long fights
  • Mimikyu: Disguise buys a free mistake, strong solo queue pick
  • Dragapult: Ranged attacker with reach, needs a peel
  • Greninja: Old favourite, still good once level 7 lands
  • Darkrai: Sleep setups win fights, punished by hard engage
  • Pikachu: Easy burst mage, falls off against dive comps
  • Miraidon: Big area damage, slow and vulnerable without a tank

C Tier, situational

  • Absol: Classic speedster, outscaled by newer divers
  • Gengar: Snowballs when ahead, useless when behind
  • Lucario: Base form is fine, the Mega version is the real pick
  • Cinderace: Reliable auto attacker, no tools to escape dives
  • Charizard: Base Charizard is outclassed by both Mega forms

D Tier, skip

  • Tyranitar: Slow to come online and kited by everything
  • Decidueye: Immobile ranged damage, free kill for speedsters
  • Greedent: Nerfed into a novelty, no teamfight impact

Pokemon Unite tier list FAQ

Who is the best Pokemon in Pokemon Unite right now?

Solgaleo. It gets its Unite Move at level 7, cannot have its Attack lowered, and out-damages every other all rounder. Yveltal and Reshiram are right behind it and the three of them define the September 2026 meta.

Which Pokemon should a beginner pick in Pokemon Unite?

Snorlax, Blissey and Pikachu are forgiving and teach the map. Snorlax and Blissey stay useful all match without needing perfect mechanics, and both are cheap to unlock.

Is Zacian still good in Pokemon Unite?

Yes. Zacian is no longer the auto win it was at release, but its Aeos energy scaling still makes it one of the strongest late game picks. It sits in A because the new legendaries take over fights earlier.

How often does the Pokemon Unite meta change?

Balance patches land roughly every two to three weeks and each new legendary reshuffles the top. We re-check the sources after each patch and update the date at the top of this page when something moves.
