Wuthering Waves Character Tier List (July 2026)
Last checked July 24, 2026
This Wuthering Waves character tier list ranks 30 resonators for July 2026, based on how they hold up in the version 3.5 endgame.
We combined the latest rankings from Game8 and Pocket Tactics, both refreshed in July 2026, and settled disagreements by leaning on the most recent update.
Short version: the newest limited five stars dominate, Shorekeeper is still the queen of supports, and most launch units have slipped to the middle of the pack.

Taoqi How we rank
We rank resonators by their performance in current endgame content such as the Tower of Adversity, assuming no resonance chains, using the July 2026 rankings from Game8 (version 3.5 list, updated July 10) and Pocket Tactics (updated July 17). Main DPS, sub DPS and supports share one list, so tiers reflect how much a character matters in the strongest current teams. Where the two sources disagreed, we took the middle ground.

B Tier, solid
- Jiyan: Launch star with still respectable Aero damage

- Brant: Fun Fusion unit with solid results
- Cantarella: Decent Havoc sub DPS
- Ciaccona: Useful Aero support hybrid

C Tier, situational
- Camellya: Former meta carry, outdated in 2026
- Jinhsi: Once dominant, needs investment to keep up
- Calcharo: Playable but clunky by modern standards
- Xiangli Yao: Free unit that carries you early on
D Tier, skip
- Yinlin: Largely replaced in Electro teams
- Lingyang: Hard to justify a team slot
- Yuanwu: Niche coordinated attack duty only
- Taoqi: Defense does not win fights here

Wuthering Waves tier list FAQ
Who is the best character in Wuthering Waves right now?
Our July 2026 sources agree that Phrolova and Augusta sit at the very top, with the new version 3.5 arrivals like Aemeath, Sigrika and Luuk Herssen right beside them. Shorekeeper remains the best support pick overall.
Are launch characters like Jiyan and Calcharo still good?
They are still playable, but power creep is real. Jiyan holds a respectable B tier while Calcharo has dropped to C, so we would only invest in them if you love their playstyle.
Do these rankings assume resonance chains?
No. Both sources rank every resonator at zero resonance chains with their best weapon options, so the tiers reflect what you get from a single copy.
Is Shorekeeper still worth pulling in 2026?
Yes. She fits into almost every team, buffs crit while keeping everyone alive, and both of our sources still place her at the top of the support rankings more than a year after her release.
