The best pick still shifts a lot by mode and map, so treat the tiers as an overall guide rather than gospel for every single matchup.

We rank brawlers by overall ranked performance across modes in the current patch: win rates at high trophies, how often they fit into strong team comps, and how forgiving they are to pilot. Where our two sources disagree, we keep the majority or most recent view and say so in the note. Mode specialists get placed on their average, not their best map.

- Piper: Elite sniper on open maps, punishes slow comps
- Byron: Best in slot healer for long range teams
- Colette: Reliable answer to tanks and high health targets
- Griff: Strong control and burst in Gem Grab and Heist
B Tier, solid
- Kenji: Still solid, but nerfs pulled him out of the top

Who is the best brawler in Brawl Stars right now?
There is no single best brawler, but Edgar, Surge, Nori, Sirius and Brock are the S tier consensus for the Season 53 Windstock meta after the August 4 patch. Edgar in particular came out of the patch as one of the biggest winners.
Is Wendy worth playing?
Wendy is the newest brawler, released on August 13, and she is posting a very high win rate. New brawlers usually launch strong and get tuned down, so we place her in A tier until the numbers settle.
Does the tier list change per game mode?
Yes, a lot. Chuck is a top pick in Heist and weak elsewhere, Eve spikes on water maps, and Rico needs walls. Our tiers reflect average performance across ranked modes, so always sanity check against the map you are queuing.
How often should I check back on the meta?
Supercell ships balance patches roughly monthly and a new brawler most seasons, and either can move several brawlers a full tier. Checking after each balance update is enough to stay current.
