Fish It Rod Tier List (September 2026)

Last checked September 18, 2026

This Fish It rod tier list ranks all 27 rods for September 2026, from the new Withering Rod down to the Starter Rod you spawn with.

We compared the September Sportskeeda ranking with the full stat tables from allthings.how, games.gg and Pocket Tactics, and kept the majority view where they disagree.

Luck decides what you catch and Weight decides whether you can land it, so those two stats drive most of the placements.

How we rank

We rank on Luck first, then Weight capacity, then Speed, and we adjust for how hard a rod is to get. A quest rod with huge stats sits above a shop rod with similar numbers only when the quest is realistic for most players. Gamepass rods are ranked on stats alone, and we only include rods named in the sources.

Fish It tier list FAQ

What is the best rod in Fish It right now?

The Withering Rod, with 1463% Luck, 316% Speed and a 1,400,000 kg cap. You craft it from a Withering Core, Handle and Reel through the Null NPC at Copper Canyon, and its final stats depend on the core you use.

What is the best rod progression for a new player?

Lava Rod to Lucky Rod, then Hazmat or Ghostfinn, then Element Rod and finally Diamond or Withering. That path keeps money farming steady without wasting coins on filler rods.

Are the gamepass rods worth buying?

Not for stats. The Angelic Rod is the only one with respectable Luck and Weight, and even it loses to the 437,000 coin Chrome Rod. Free-to-play options outperform all three.

How do I get the Element Rod?

Go to the Underground Cellar in the Ancient Jungle at night and complete the Element Quest, which has four long tasks. It is the last big step before the Diamond and Withering rods.
