Rockstar has finally pinned down the one date the whole industry has been circling. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on Thursday, November 19, 2026. We have watched this one slip more than once, so here is the short, honest version of where it stands, with no hype attached.

The date is official, not a rumor

The November 19, 2026 date comes straight from Rockstar's own Newswire, and Take-Two backed it up in its financial guidance, telling investors it expects record results in its 2027 fiscal year "driven by the Nov. 19 launch of Grand Theft Auto 6." When a publisher puts a date in an earnings outlook, that is about as locked as these things get.

It has been a long road to get here. GTA 6 was first aimed at 2025, then moved to spring 2026, and finally to this November. Rockstar framed the last delay plainly: the extra months were there "to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve." We would rather wait for a finished game than rush a broken one, so this lands fine with us.

There is no PC version on day one. A PC release is widely expected later, which matches how Rockstar handled GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, both of which reached PC months after their console versions. Rockstar has not announced a PC date, so we are not going to pretend one exists.

What about GTA 6 codes?
