Transport Fever 3 Is Out on PC, PS5 and Xbox, From $49.99
Some games you play for an evening, and some quietly eat a whole winter. Transport Fever 3 belongs firmly in the second group, and it is out today, September 29. Developer Urban Games and publisher Paradox Interactive have launched it on PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG, on Mac and Linux, and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, all on the same day.
The Standard Edition costs $49.99 or €49.99 on PC and $59.99 or €59.99 on consoles. If you already own Transport Fever 2 on the same platform, Paradox knocks 10% off the Standard and Deluxe editions, and that loyalty discount stays live until 14 days after launch.

From horse carts to jumbo jets
The core loop has not changed, and that is a compliment. You start with horse-drawn wagons, steam trains and paddle steamers, then work your way toward jet planes, supertankers, high speed trains and helicopters. Every delivery earns money, every vehicle adds to your running costs, and the fun lives in the gap between the two. Urban Games says this is the largest range of vehicles the series has had, spanning more than a century of transport history, with buildings, people and cars around you following the styles of each era.
The world itself is busier this time. Every citizen has a home, a job and places to go, and you can follow any of them. There is dynamic weather, a full day and night cycle, and four climate zones: temperate valleys, subarctic swamps, desert plains and tropical islands. Data layers help you spot traffic hotspots, delivery problems, noise and pollution. You can play a story campaign built on historical transport missions, tune the difficulty into brutal contract races, or switch the economy off entirely and just build. Modders get improved tools, a full in-game map editor and an in-game mod browser for sharing creations.
Editions and what is in them
The Deluxe Edition costs $64.99 on PC and $74.99 on consoles. On top of the game, it adds 11 legendary vehicles, including the Concorde and the Trans Europe Express, two landmarks, one of them the Eiffel Tower, three hand made maps, four new wild animals and extra music.
For collectors, there is a physical Collector's Edition at $119.99, limited to 10,000 copies. It includes a digital Deluxe Edition key, a statue, a 200 page hardcover art book, a themed card game, a music box, a keychain, stickers and a poster.
Our take: this is a sequel that doubles down rather than reinvents, and for this audience that is the right call. Console players should know that management sims live or die by their controls on a gamepad, so we would wait for a few player impressions before paying the higher console price. On PC, and especially with the Transport Fever 2 discount, it looks like an easy recommendation for anyone who has ever lost an afternoon to a timetable.
