Palworld Hits 1.0 on July 10 After Two and a Half Years of Early Access

We have been watching Palworld's early access run since January 2024, and it finally has a finish line. Version 1.0 lands on July 10, 2026, and Pocketpair confirmed the date on stage at Summer Game Fest alongside the game's first cinematic trailer.

What 1.0 actually adds

The trailer and Pocketpair's follow-up posts point to the biggest content drop the game has had. The headline item is the World Tree, the landmark players have stared at from a distance since the first day of early access. It comes with new areas on the Palpagos Islands, new Pals, and what the studio calls an ominous new threat.

On the gear side, the official account confirmed new weapons, armour and equipment, plus a Wing Pack that lets your character fly around the map. There is also at least one new Pal that transforms into a weapon mid combat, which fits the series habit of treating creatures as tools first and pets second. Several new story driven missions round out the package.

Nobody outside Pocketpair has the full changelog yet, but the studio's publishing lead says the internal document runs 27 PDF pages of changes and additions. He also confirmed the update will not wipe existing saves, although the studio suggests a fresh start to see the new story beats in order.

Platforms and price

Version 1.0 arrives on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on the same day. Pocketpair has not announced any price change alongside the release, and 1.0 ships as an update to the game people already own rather than a separate product.

Early access games that actually reach 1.0 are rarer than they should be, and Palworld spent its two and a half years shipping real content instead of coasting on its viral launch. The sensible move is to wait for the actual patch notes on July 10 before judging the update's size, since trailers always flatter. But the fundamentals look right: a confirmed date, save continuity, and a feature list built from things players have asked about since 2024. We would hold off on a fresh save until launch day, then start clean like the studio suggests.
