Switch 2 Summer Bundles Arrive With Pokemon Pokopia in the Box
If you have been waiting for a reason to finally pick up a Switch 2, Nintendo just handed you two. A Switch 2 + Pokemon Pokopia bundle launched in Europe on July 2 for 499.99 euros (429.99 pounds in the UK), while North America keeps its Choose Your Game bundle at $499.99, with Pokopia among the picks. We have seen plenty of half-hearted console bundles over the years; these two are actually straightforward.
What the bundles include
The European bundle pairs the console with a full game download of Pokemon Pokopia, the Ditto-led life sim that has been one of the system's quiet hits. One catch worth knowing before checkout: Nintendo's own bundle page confirms the Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC is not included, and the game download needs an internet connection and a Nintendo Account. A matching bundle reaches Singapore on July 23.
North America's version works differently. The Choose Your Game bundle ships the standard console set, Joy-Con 2 controllers, dock and cables included, plus one digital code you pick from Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokemon Pokopia. Nintendo values the deal at a savings of up to $29.99 and flags it as limited time, while supplies last, at participating retailers.
Where to buy
The new Switch 2 bundles are rolling out at major retailers for the summer lineup.

The July games that make the console worth it
The bundles land in front of the busiest month the console has had. July 23 brings Splatoon Raiders, the first single-player Splatoon exclusive, a treasure-hunting adventure on the Spirhalite Islands alongside Deep Cut. The same day, Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster arrives on Switch 2 at $49.99, digital-only at launch and with no upgrade path from the original Switch version, which stings a little.
Then on July 30, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gets its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, running 4K at 60 frames per second docked and full HD at 60 in handheld. A physical release follows on October 1 if you prefer a cartridge.
Our take on the timing
This is Nintendo reading the room. Pokopia sold well enough that a dedicated console bundle only showing up now feels late rather than early, and Europe has an extra clock ticking: the console's price there rises by 30 euros from September 1. If you were going to buy in Europe anyway, doing it before autumn saves real money twice over.
For North American buyers there is less urgency, but the math is simple. If any of the three games was already on your list, the bundle is the cheaper route, and July's lineup means the console will not sit idle after the first weekend. No fireworks here, just a sensible deal arriving at a sensible moment.
